2025 Wellness Incentive
The WellPerks Wellness Incentive is being offered again in 2025. No matter when you completed your annual wellness exam, you’re eligible for an exam as soon as the new plan year starts. If your spouse is covered on the Anthem BCBS medical plan, they must complete their annual wellness exam, as well, to qualify for the incentive.
Incentives pay out in the fourth quarter – $550 for single coverage and $1,100 for family coverage.

How does it work?

When you visit a Anthem BCBS network provider for your annual exam make sure you take your Incentive Form with you to the visit and have it completed by the provider before you leave. Once complete, email the form over to [email protected] and make sure your name is listed on the subject line of the email. If you need a copy of the form you can download from your UKG profile, OSSIE, or here.

You must be active during the incentive period in order to earn your payout. Changes in eligibility status may result in a pro-rated payout (i.e., entering or exiting the health care plan due to marriage, divorce, etc.)
- If you terminate employment prior to the payout date, you will not receive the incentive.
- Your incentive lump sum is categorized as “add to net” pre-tax dollars.
- After payouts have been made for 2025, for concerns that require an appeal (i.e., medical coding), a 2-week grace period in November will allow for adjustments.

Take a PAID day off from work to get your annual physical
We understand your time is valuable so for 2025 we are giving employees a Healthy Day Off. You’ll get a full work day off with pay to complete your annual visit. This paid day off is only reserved for the same day as you have your physical. To take advantage of the Healthy Day Off benefit you must be enrolled in Olympic Steel’s medical plan, have your doctor’s appointment completed by September 30, 2025, and follow the steps outlined below.
Step 1: Submit a Time Off Request in UKG
Step 2: Submit the Time Off Request to your supervisor at least 30 days prior to your preventive exam appointment.
Step 3: Submit the doctor’s note to your supervisor so they can approve your Healthy Day Off in the Timekeeping stem.
Spring Into Motion
Back again for 2025! Start your Spring off right with participating in the Spring Into Motion Challenge. Track your daily exercise minutes and steps, to hit your daily goal. Use your desktop, phone or connect your smartwatch to this challenge to make sure you don’t miss a step! Join as a team, or by yourself for this challenge. The challenge will take place across the divisions. While focusing on a healthier spring, check out the well-being tips and healthy recipes also offered.
Rewards will be distributed after the program to the top participant at each division.
